Affiliate Marketing

is an based marketing practice in which a business rewards it's affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's efforts. It all comes down to driving traffic to a businesses site really. If you are a website owner and can help a in this way, you will be rewarded.

There are three individuals or groups that are involved in affiliate marketing. The business selling the products, the promoting the products and the customer who visits the affiliate's website. Usually the affiliate earns a commission on sales of a businesses products but it can be possible to find affiliate marketing schemes that generate revenue on an ad-click basis.

Types of affiliate website include:
  • Search affiliates that utilize pay per click search engines to promote the advertisers' offers (i.e., search arbitrage)
  • Comparison shopping websites and directories
  • Loyalty websites, typically characterized by providing a reward system for purchases via points back, cash back
  • CRM sites that offer charitable donations
  • Coupon and rebate websites that focus on sales promotions
  • Content and niche market websites, including product review sites
  • Personal websites (This type of website was the reason for the birth of affiliate marketing; however, such websites are almost reduced to complete irrelevance compared to the other types of affiliate websites.)[citation needed]
  • Weblogs and website syndication feeds
  • E-mail list affiliates (i.e., owners of large opt-in -mail lists that typically employ e-mail drip marketing) and newsletter list affiliates, which are typically more content-heavy
  • Registration path or co-registration affiliates who include offers from other merchants during the registration process on their own website
  • Shopping directories that list merchants by categories without providing coupons, price comparisons, or other features based on information that changes frequently, thus requiring continual updates
  • Cost per action networks (i.e., top-tier affiliates) that expose offers from the advertiser with which they are affiliated to their own network of affiliates
  • Websites using adbars (e.g. Adsense) to display context-sensitive, highly-relevant ads for products on the site
It is important that when you are looking into affiliate marketing you do not participate in any schemes that may be spam based, either email or search engine, and do not choose a program that uses adware; spying software illegally placed onto web users computers.

Great marketing schemes I use myself include Click Bank, Amazon Associates and and Google Adsense. I will be reviewing each of these programs in later posts.

Blogging - Making it pay

If your only goal from is to express your thoughts and feelings, perhaps even share some expert knowledge then all you really need to worry about is choosing a great topic for your blog and for every entry. If you have found this site then I am guessing you want to make a profitable blog and so once you have chosen a great topic for your there is more to the business you need to worry about.

First of all I must talk to you about driving . Without traffic you have no chance of because you have no-one clicking on your advertisements. So how do we do this? Well actually there is no single 'get traffic quickly' method that will do this for you, no matter what you might read online. You need a combination of methods and some patience. You need to make sure your domain name is a common one so that you can get a modest click-rate right from the word go and so that your site is easy to index by search engines. Then you need to submit your site to lots of search engines and continue to write good, high quality articles regularily. Usually I would stop here when discussing blogging with beginners because I feel it is important to master the basics of blogging before moving on to the more elite stuff.

However, in this article I am going to reveal a tried and tested blogging technique that could boost your traffic by an order of magnitude. I use this method for all my blogs and you really can notice the difference. This phenomenon is so simple but so effective and is called back-linking. You need to sign up to sites like Ezine Articles and Go Articles which are free online article directories. You can get free content for your blog from these pages but in this instance you are going to give away your high quality articles. But won't that aid the competition? Yes is the short answer but for every article you submit you must submit a source web address, then anyone who ever uses your article must quote the source. This is just online referencing but because the source is your domain name this gives you lots of links pointing back towards your site. Search engines love this process and it really boosts your ranking = more visitors!

Now I will discuss how advertising on your blog can help supplment your income with simple but continual effort on your behalf. I will assume your visitor counts are reasonable and will outline the different methods you can use to make money online.

and are the two buzzwords in the 'making money online' sections of most how-to websites. Both are relatively easy to setup on your blog but placing adverts on your page is perhaps more eyecatching and requires less work. This will be our starting point. So what do I mean when I say you place adverts on your page? Well as an example there is a marketing program available from Google called Adwords where companies will pay Google to advertise their sites on their search engine and on affiliated sites. Google gets paid every time a web surfer clicks on the link they have advertised. Bloggers and other website owners can also benefit from this program by signing up to the Adsense program which in a nutshell allows Google to advertise on your site. So when somebody comes to your site and clicks on an advert hosted by Google, Google get paid and you get paid. Simple! The amount you get paid per click is small but with large visitor numbers and a high click-rate you can begin to earn a steady income.

Remember that the Google adverts are created based on the content of your site so this is a real quality over quantity matter. If you write great content you will get great adverts and hopefully a great revenue stream. Good Luck!

This is where the subject of this review, Blogging to the Bank 3.0, comes into focus.
Perhaps we should start by understanding what drove Rob Benwell to his achievements and why he has been so successful.

In 2005 Rob was not making any , he was struggling and had recently dropped out of college. Not a good start and the debt was mounting. He was trying so many techniques from so many different Gurus that for effort, you would give him the Nobel Prize! After a while he began to doubt these '' techniques and began using his own techniques, making money using simple blogs. In 2006 he shared this with the world and many people became rich from his logic. He still kept a few of his own secrets though to stay ahead of the competition gradually revealing more and more at conventions such as Yanik Silver's underground Seminar. The culmination of this period was Blogging to the Bank 2.0 which has been read by 50,000 people world-wide.

Now knowing the history of Rob Benwell we can assume that even then he kept some secrets which he has gradually drip fed to the blogging community on the following years. These new tips are what we call 'the icing on the cake' and set aside Rob's blogs from other bloggers work. Blogging to the Bank 3.0 is that latest, most up to date, easily digestible helping from Mr Benwell himself. It is full of great techniques that work online right now! Everything is explained in plain English with no buffering or gobble-de-gook. Just cold, hard facts! In all honesty I got the book in the afternoon and by the evening I was creating great, profitable blogs! Here is a great summary of Blogging to the Bank 3.0 I found on .

Blogging to the Bank 3.0 is a blueprint to Rob's blogging success. He even admits that he follows the exact route laid out in Blogging to the Bank 3.0 every time he creates a new blog! There is even an advanced section on Search Engine Optimization or SEO which is a new development in the Internet World.

The only negative I can find is some of his spelling/grammer could be improved but he is not entering a spelling contest, he wants to make you money!

Blogging - Ten or So Sites You Need To Know

Whether you are already part of the phenomenom that has spread across the World, or if you simply aspire to learn something about the online community, there is plenty of assistance available to you online to help you create or expand your online presence.

To get started online your could try hosting your site on Xanga or Blogger or the very popular Wordpress . All of these sites offer free blogging that can be set up quick and easily and are worldwide communities offering great exposure.

Myspace and Facebook are online social networking giants. As such, Google and other search engines love these sites offering great exposure for your blog. Just create your personal page and add links to your blog.

If you are reading this blog you are probably interested in making money online. Well there are numerous sites that help you do this. The first two I want to tell you about are ClickBank and Adsense. Both are whereby you advertise products from each site on your blog through link advertisements and banner advertisements created by the marketer. When a visitor to your site clicks on an advertisement he/she is redirected to the seller's site hosting the particular product. If a product is purchased you will receive a percentage of the profit.

To avoid some of the blogging pitfalls many unfortunately fall into you should try visiting some 'expert' blogger sites. Sites like Marketing Quickies and Blogging to the Bank both offer some great advice on blogging techniques.

You want to get as much to your blog as is humanly possible. Without the traffic, there is no opportunity for income. I always quote a 1% rule as a lower bound for profits. If you have 1000 people visit your site a month you may have 10 person click on an advertisement. Of those 10 people only 10% may actually make a purchase, so you need 1000 unique visitors for just 1 purchase. This is extremist but a good path to follow as it is much better to underestimate things at this early age. Consider adding your blogs to blog directories like Blog Catalog and Yahoo. The same goes for the listings on Google.

Another mechanism for gaining essential exposure for your blog is through submitting your own articles to Ezine Articles. You offer your article up for free use by other bloggers but you can cunningly add your blog link to the end of the article such that it must be posted on all other sites where it is used. This gives you great and essential which Google loves!

A final site that is a must is Pro Blogger. This is a hub for blogging advice in an easy to digest format.

That should get you started for now. Good Luck!

Business Blogging

There are great advantages for who own a webblog, both large and small. Perhaps the most obvious advantage is that one can maintain excellent communication relationships with employees and customers. Nowadays have even become a means of sharing information and expertise at very advanced levels meaning increased profit for the company. You may think that large businesses stand to make the most from , you are wrong! A highly specific set of web pages such as a blog, successfully substitutes an extensive online presence. Dynamic blogs also offer feed-back and various issues are tackled quickly.

Blogs are regarded as informal but they are still a great way to develop business contacts. They are not 'in your face' like many promotive sites offering the reader a more relaxed introduction to the company. As for blogging customer feed-back can be negative or positive and a business must prepare for both. Monitoring a is essential if one does not wish the company to have a bad name.

A blog can also be used to spread information to employees on a daily basis. Blogs have been shown to significantly contribute to team building and communication between departments of the same company. So perhaps a blog would be better than your current weekly newsletter?

Blogging is not without its short falls. For instance, maintaining a blog requires hard work and can be time consuming. Additionally e-commerce opportunities are fewer when it comes to using a blog over a regular site. Blogging is a great way to promote a new business online but eventually you may choose to parallel it with a regular promotion site.
